Spotify has been improving, but they haven't been working on this point for 9 years now (as I could see in various forums this question has been here for ages) nor do they seem to be willing to work on it at all in the near future which, I think, is ridiculous. There should be a way to see if a song is downloaded or nah and change that fact individually for specific songs. I figured out that if I deleted that playlist (I know, a pain) and made a new one, that fixed it. I can unlike the song but the download remains, some songs I only want to listen to when Im streaming and I dont want them on my device. But even if you do so moving the song from the "song" folder to another one, how does one delete the offline modus of a song in a playlist that isn't completely avaialbe offline (thus you can't simiply click on the button) without deleting the song? I would download songs in one playlist, then when I switch it to offline mode or airplane mode, It would remove all the songs, and only have downloaded the first 4. Since the layers spotify update, it is no longer possible to long press a track and remove the download.
Of course you can delete songs from option 1) by clicking the + button again.īut it is impossible to download specific songs without the whole folder and without putting it into "songs" ("+" button).
So there are two/three types of downloaded songs as far as I've observed:ġ) Song is offline because you added it to "songs" (the + button)Ģ) Song is offline because it was in a folder you downloadedģ) Now comes the tricky part. While in the Spotify folder, youll also find a Users folder.
